Hungry Guppies Attack! @ Quiznos and Tully’s, 25 Apr 09

The Hungry Guppies attacked Quiznos and Tully’s at Far East Square for a food sampling session on 25 April. The Hungry Guppies were joined by around 20 other excited and very hungry guest guppies for this eating (or makan) event. The guests guppies swam in as early as 10am to register their names and their appetites. Here are a just few of our guest guppies!

After registration and some photo taking, the guppies were seated inside, where Vincent from Quiznos and Tully’s gave our guests guppies a little background about the restaurant, and what their tummies could expect for the next hour or so …

The guppies were divided into two groups. One group followed Quiznos Outlet Manager Leong San, and got a first hand tour of the sandwich preparation process, and what it takes to make that perfect sub.

The other group of guppies got to hear from Ryan from Tully’s, what goes into making the perfect cuppa. Only the freshest ingredients and coffee grounds are used.

Now, after all that talking and walking, it was time to get down to business. The food! First on the list was Quiznos’ most popular sandwich, the Zesty Grill Steak. Soon it became like a party atmosphere as the guppies relished their sandwiches, tasting every morsel, taking in the full aroma and flavour of the juicy sandwich. It was smiles all around for these happy guppies!

And even as the sandwiches were served, Tully’s also served their regular house blend coffee to go with the food!

As the guppies enjoyed their sandwiches, Vincent from Quiznos went around talking to our guest guppies about food, on why Quiznos sandwiches tasted the way they do …that is ..very delicious!

It was more eating and drinking as Quiznos served the next two top sellers, the Mesquite Chicken and the Classic Italian. And to accompany the food, Tully’s served their White Chocolate Mocha, followed by their Espresso Shake.

Now for the show down. The guppies were asked to vote for their favourite sandwich among the three top Quiznos signature subs. They wrote their votes on white cards, which were then counted by Sweeth Toothed Guppy, with Missy Guppy as Assistant.

And the result is …. Zesty Grill Steak!! With an overwhelming 19 votes! The other two sandwiches got one vote each.

And not only that, one lucky guppy was chosen from among those who voted for Zesty Grill in a lucky draw, and won herself a Bintan Voucher by TakeMeToAsia! The winner who won the guppy was Jac Guppy. Congrats Jac!

After the shoot-out, Quiznos served the last flavour of the day: Smokey Chilli Turkey. Tully’s also gave out their cookies which gave the whole foodie event a sweet finish.

Besides good food and coffee, we must say that the service at Quiznos and Tully’s was excellent. The service staff handled the guppies crowd well with a big smile! Kudos to everyone!
